Spin Class for Beginners

We are excited to add a 30 minute spin class to our schedule. This class is especially for those interested in cycling but don't feel like they are ready for the full hour class. This would also be a great class for the kids to try. The next Beginners' Spin Class will on Thursday at 4:30, get there early! With a limited number of bikes, it's first come first serve. Bring a swimsuit in case you don't get there in time to reserve a bike and swim a few laps in the pool or take the 30 minute aerobic cardio class if you can get there before it begins! Can't be there by 4:30 on Thursday? Watch the news while you burn calories on a treadmill, stationary bike, crossfit or other machine of your choice. We look forward to your visit with The Gym in Oneonta.

Spinning

Spinners, grab a towel. You are guaranteed to sweat! This high energy class is more than cycling on a stationary bike. As expected, you'll receive a great cardio and lower body workout, but these clever instructors incorporate upper body activity as well. Elevated music helps these spinners travel miles without even leaving the room. The bikes' resistance can be easily adjusted, so beginners can use their own judgment and refrain from increasing this when instructors signal the resistance increase. Check out the weekly aerobic schedule for Spin Class times and get there early, space is limited.
**Disclaimer**
Proper Spin Etiquette
Get to class early and place your towel on the bike of your choice. If there is a towel on a bike, this means someone has already designated it for their use. When finished, use your towel and cleaner found in the room, to wipe down and disinfect the bike, so spinners for the next class will have a clean bike.
