New Year's Resolution

Most of you have probably made your new year's resolution by now…..  8 out of 10 people (according to statistics) made a resolution this year to lose weight or start leading a healthier lifestyle! 
                                          
We can help you!  We have a great Challenge starting Monday the 10th.  The goal of this is not necessarily to lose the most weight, it is to help you learn how to become healthy!  Here are the Basics: You track your positive activities with points.  Everyone who joins this challenge gets a pedometer, you earn points based on how many steps you take in a day, how many servings of fruits and vegetables you eat in a day, how many glasses of water you drink each day, and your daily physical activity.  So it makes you aware of what you are doing right, or maybe what you need to improve to make yourself healthy.

This challenge is for adults and children. We will award prizes each week. A kick-off party is this THURSDAY the 6th at 6:00 pm at the Gym. Get a friend to do it with you. It always helps to have peer pressure J . What’s even better---you don’t have to join the Gym to compete in the challenge.  Members and non members are all welcome. 

If this doesn’t sound like your speed:  we also have a weight lifting challenge for men and women that is starting.  You earn points based of a 1 rep max.  In squats, bench press and 1.5 mile runs.  You get VERY cool tee-shirts for the categories you fall in.
