CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:

The Gym offers a wide range of aerobic classes that can help you begin your journey to better fitness.


BACK TO BASICS This class gets back to the basics, a challenging cardio class without the complexity. Intensity without making you feels like you have two left feet.

BEGGINNER SPINNING 30 minutes of concentrated spinning for those just getting started or wanting to try something new.  30 minutes is still a great cardiovascular workout.

BODY SCULPT A toning class that isolates and conditions upper and lower muscle groups. Hand-held weights are recommended for this intense, NON-AEROBIC workout.  (Depending on the weight size used, intensity will vary; beginners should be able to do this class.  Class limit: 20 participants.)

 CARDIO-BLAST TRAINING This high energy class involves short cardio interval sets, based on ply metrics. Gets your heart rate up and keeps it up, increasing blood oxygen levels. Great class to help with agility and quickness.  Particularly great for MEN!

  DANCE FUSION Easy to follow, choreographed dance aerobics, plus a complete muscle-toning segment.

 INSTRUCTOR CHOICE Your instructor will pick the class that they want to teach.

 PILATES A highly effective, unique exercise system that gives you a leaner, sculpted body, increasing abdominal and lower back strength and improved posture.

SHALLOW WATER 1 An invigorating workout in the pool for the swimmer and non-swimmers alike. It's a total body, non-weight bearing workout for every exerciser and an excellent way to begin an exercise program or add to your existing one.

 SilverSneakers® Muscular Strength & Range of Movement
Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, a SilverSneakers ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support.

SPEED WALKING – Walk yourself thin on our outdoor track---this class will be tons of walking at different paces, may add in some plyometric type exercises including lunges, squats, jumps etc.  This will be on the OUTSIDE track only.  If weather is bad—class will be cancled.

SPINNING A very intense workout, with the entire class done in our cycle room on stationery bikes. It is a great cardiovascular workout. (

STEP CONNECTION A high-energy workout, incorporating creative combinations on a step platform.

STEP N' SCULPT This class begins with a warm-up and includes 25-40 minutes of stepping, followed by upper body sculpting using weights, resistance tubing, and/or resist-a-balls to give you a complete workout from head to toe.  (Low impact, moderate to high intensity. Beginner to intermediate level.)

TBW (TOTAL BODY WORKOUT) This class includes many different types of strength training and core training using free weights, resistance bands, stability balls, and body weight for an overall strength and conditioning workout.  (All levels are welcome. Enjoy the change of pace.)

Water Power:  Water aerobics that can be done in shallow or deep ends of the pool.   You don’t have to be a swimmer to enjoy this class
  
YOGA Loosens stiff joints, increases flexibility and core strength, and relaxes body and mind. 
Hot YOGA   just like regular Yoga but done in a room at least 90 degrees.  Must arrive at least 10 minutes early for this class

ZUMBA Are you ready to party yourself into shape? That's exactly what Zumba is all about! It's an exhilarating, effective, easy-to-follow, Latin-inspired, calorie burning, dance fitness party. Zumba classes feature exotic rhythms set to high-energy Latin and international beats. Before participants know it, they are getting fit and their energy levels are soaring!   ZUMBATONIC:   THE KIDS VERSION OF ZUMBA---FUN FUN FUN
